Frequently Asked Questions

Is Nations a "missions" church?

Nope. We just believe that the Great Commission is something more important that a small fraction of budget & program. Everything we do is Kingdom projected. From our kids & students, all the way up, we merge a global perspective into everything we do. We realize that God has given us many resources and partnerships around the world, but all of that is meaningless without a commitment to our communities & neighbors locally.

So… Is Nations a "missions" church?

Well I guess kind of. But shouldn't every church be a "missions" church?

Where is Nations located?

Nations is one church in two locations- Memphis, TN & Dallas, TX . Each campus is united in overall vision, strategy, and values- as well as offering similar weekly opportunities. The Campus Pastors are responsible to each other and to vision, but not necessarily to an institutional program. God gave us the vision for a movement based on obedience and values- not blueprints.

How many attend Nations Church?

Honestly, this is the number one question we're asked.. And it's the number one question we tend to stall answering.. Not because we're embarrassed by our numbers (from 2007-2009 we visited 13 countries, secured roughly 26 global partnerships, redirected 56% then 54% of our budget to global strategy, and we're currently approaching over $200,000 given away), it's more of the fact that it's always the first question we're asked. Instead of asking how many attend each others churches, why don't we ask where the majority of time or resources are being directed into? Into the things that Jesus cares/burns for? Or into our buildings/staff/debt?

Not to be mean, but you didn't answer my-

Sorry, we tend to get pumped up around here about that stuff. Memphis has around 100 people, Dallas around 60.

Do I need to dress up to fit in at Nations?

Not at all. Just make sure you're dressed somehow and everyone's happy. :)

How do I know which Cell Group to attend?

At the moment we're completely revamping our local strategy for our Cell Groups. So currently our Cells are geographically based around the metro areas of Memphis & Dallas. Each campus has Cells designed for men, women, young adults and students.

So what's next for Nations?

In the next few weeks we will begin unveiling the next phase of Nations Church. It will involve a complete and replicable strategy for local ministries, as well as launching our GlobalBibleStudy.tv.
